Gerneral info regarding the area of Diakofto

The area of Diakofto is a vast evolving tourist atraction in Achaia with many sights and beautiful beaches. It consists of the following villages:Diakofto, Elaionas(Trypia), Trapeza, Rizomilos, Nikoleika,Rodia, Ano Diakopto andι Eliki. All the villages have nice sights to visit and most of them have beautiful beaches.

The most important attraction in the area is the known Odontotos train (Cog train) that starts from Diakofto and reaches Kalavrita through the canyon of Vouraikos. In the middle of the journey you will find the village of Zachlorou that is worth visiting.

In Diakoft;o you wil find 3 beaches, 2 near the harbour and the third is the beach of Egali

The village of Trapeza has one of the most beautiful view of the Korinthian bay and the beach of Pounta which has been awarded with blue flag.

Elaionas is very close to Diakofto and has one of the best organised beach with Beach Volley and playground on the beach. Also you will find many restaurants and bars
